The sixth Regional Conference of Youth on Climate for the Middle East and North Africa will take place at the Oman Across Ages Museum in Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman, from 16 to 19 September 2026.

RCOY MENA is the recognised regional track within YOUNGO, the official children and youth constituency of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Each year it gathers young delegates from across the region to turn national priorities into a single regional position, which is then carried into the global youth process.

Nizwa follows five previous editions: Dubai in 2022, Egypt in 2023, Amman in 2024, and the Arab Youth Climate Action Forum in Salalah in 2025. It is the second time the region has gathered in Oman, and the first time in the interior.

What happens over four days

The programme runs across three thematic tracks — adaptation and water, just transition and green jobs, and climate finance and loss and damage — combining plenaries, working groups, policy labs and a hackathon. The four days end with the adoption of the MENA Regional Youth Statement.
